Auto Crisis Update Available NOW!

We are very excited to to announce that a major update to the racing game Auto Crisis is available in the App Store today!

We feel that this update makes a huge improvement to the gaming experience. The game is faster, more action-packed and looks even better!

A short list of the most visible changes:
  • Improved controls:
    • - New on-screen steering wheel
    • - Shoot with a second finger
    • - Never get stuck - just keep driving!
  • Cars are faster
  • Improved AI adjusts to your skills! More action - the cars stay together!
  • New gameplay manual
  • The challenge mode is faster, less initial points
  • Damaged cars have a smoke trail - now you can tell which one to focus on
  • Health pickups
  • Impact sound effects
  • In-game pause button (This is soo cool - slows time like an old vinyl)
  • Improved on-line result screen for the time attack mode
  • Visual sparkle reward if you are the leader in the race

Now that all this is done, we hope to release more beautiful and exciting levels soon. We have a few themes planned, all with stunning lighting and creative explorable maps:
  • California cruise (Out Run style with palm trees and sea view)
  • Futuristic asteroid base race
  • Egyptian desert with ancient ruins and modern asphalt

If you have suggestions, please share them with us, and you might see them in the next release!

Those of you who bought the first version, please download the update and tell us what you think! Your input is important to us.

'Nuff said! Have a look at the screenshots!

Dropbox Eats iPhone Apps For Breakfast

After literally spending hours of frustration trying to make Ad Hoc distribution work for my iPhone game, I realized that my problem was Dropbox. Appearantly, some of the data in the app bundle was mangled in the transfer, making it crash when loading.

Now don't missunderstand me; Dropbox is a great tool for sharing files when telecommuting or just syncing several computers. Here at Baraboom, we use it all the time. The simple solution was to zip the app before transferring it, and everything worked just fine.

What? Yes I do enjoy painting faces on coorporate logotypes.
